Tama lives in Sarasota and shares her busy life with Milo, a sweet tabby with a wonderful personality. The day we met, she was in the middle of a kitchen renovation, and we had to rush our visit because she was scheduled to drive a friend to a medical appointment. Tama doesn’t behave like many senior citizens. She’s just too busy!
This former art teacher and neon designer also ran a catering business and was a chef. She has worked at the Senior Center, teaching healthy cooking and fostered kittens for the Humane Society of Sarasota County. Milo is one of a litter of four babies that Tama raised. The other three were adopted but Milo became a fixture because Tama’s children said she needed a companion.
This precious kitty comes when he’s called and loves to cuddle in Tama’s lap. He also loved his new basket of goodies from Seniors for Pets and it didn’t take long for him to ferret out his favorites.
